About this figure

Unsafe authority composition arises when a sequence of individually reasonable capabilities forms a stronger end-to-end power than any one step suggests. A system that can read sensitive context, plan an action, invoke a tool, and reuse or bypass prior approval may appear safe under local checks, yet those same permissions can compose into consequential authority over external systems. This pattern matters because risk is created not by a single privileged operation, but by the transformation of ordinary access into an unbroken action path. The result is a capability chain that crosses a trust boundary, turning context awareness into execution and execution into real-world impact.
