Visual walkthrough of Outlook in progress
Overview
The SecEng Trust Scanner for Outlook adds a sidebar panel to the Outlook desktop and web experience so you can scan email drafts, AI-generated replies, and vendor communications for trust-language risks before responding or forwarding. The Office Add-in architecture means the scanner runs within Microsoft's secure add-in sandbox, keeping your email content inside your Microsoft 365 environment. No external server required for local-mode scans.
Features
- 01.
Draft scanning before send
Open the Trust Scanner panel while composing an email to catch AI or security claim issues before they reach recipients.
- 02.
Vendor email analysis
Scan incoming vendor or partner emails for misleading security claims so you can respond with informed skepticism.
- 03.
Selection-based focus
Highlight a specific paragraph to run a targeted scan on the most critical part of a long email chain.
- 04.
Evidence export
Download scan results as JSON or Markdown for formal evidence packages without leaving Outlook.

Step 04
