Visual walkthrough of JetBrains in progress
Overview
The SecEng Trust Scanner for JetBrains puts trust-language analysis where developers already work — inside IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, and the full JetBrains IDE family. Select any text in the editor, open a file, or paste content into the tool window to get an instant analysis. Because the plugin runs locally, no file content leaves your machine during scanning.
Features
- 01.
Editor selection scanning
Highlight any text in the editor and invoke the scanner from the right-click context menu for instant analysis.
- 02.
File-level review
Scan entire files — policy docs, prompts, configuration files — to surface trust risks across the full document.
- 03.
Local-first processing
All scanning runs on your machine; no code or document content is transmitted to external servers.
- 04.
Markdown export
Export scan results as Markdown reports ready to commit to your repository or share in pull request reviews.
- 05.
IDE tool window
A persistent tool window gives you scan history, settings, and quick-access to past results without reopening menus.

Privacy architecture
Local first
This integration runs 100% in-process using a compiled WASM engine. Text is scanned locally — nothing is transmitted to a server, no analytics, no telemetry. Ideal for regulated environments where data residency and air-gap requirements apply.
